Hi!

I am having a really good day today! Hope you are too! I’m enjoying having today off, with nowhere I have to go and nothing I have to do. So, I am knitting along on the Christmas presents. Maybe I can get them done this weekend and get going on gauge swatches for my sweater-to-be or get back to knitting on my shawl or start some socks with all the sock yarn I’ve gotten as of late… the possibilities are almost endless!

Finished the socks. I was really happy with the way they turned out, even including the toe!

Working along on the scarf out of handspun… though I have to fight myself to not rip it out and start over with a different, plainer, pattern… I just don’t think the yarn gives the pattern, nor does the pattern give the yarn, justice. So don’t be surprised if the next picture of it looks completely different!

Here’s a closeup so that you can see what I mean about it just not being quite right.

That “rip out” desire is what has me currently working on the Steeler scarf… I ended up not going with the random stripe pattern for this scarf and am using the Galway. Depending on how I like the results I may do another…

Can you tell that, even though I’m enjoying having these days to just knit… I’m being really critical of what I’m knitting…?

Meanwhile, on the other end of the couch, Montey isn’t having that issue and is making hats. Lots of hats. Number nine is on the needles (also on the needles is the start of what will be felted slippers)

I’m really impressed with how he has taken right to knitting! (And… with two people working at it, we might make real dents into the stash! LOL)

With the onset of the colder weather the llamas are coming into the barn more to sleep nested down into the hay…

Dolly, as usual, has to come investigate the camera, making sure that she gets her camera time…

Unlike Dolly, Slim is more likely saying, “would that damned woman put that camera away and let me sleep in peace without lights flashing into my eyes”

Linny doesn’t care about the flashing light… she just covers up her eyes and goes back to sleep.
