So… to use all the cocoons the industrious little silk worms built I really needed a silk reel… after running lots of ideas through our heads and past others… Montey made me a silk reel that is going to work great for my batch of cocoons!
I’m waiting to get a pot to boil them in… I decided that I didn’t really want to use one that we also use for food…
The next two pictures are proof that knitting does take place here… LOL. Finishing knitting doesn’t happen too often but works-in-progress… they abound.
I’m coming along on the lace pattern. Still enjoying it and liking how it is turning out, which is a plus as there is still quite a ways to go.
And the Lorna’s Laces socks? They are coming up on their year birthday… I don’t know why they still languish on the needles while other socks have come and gone… but I’ve been making progress on them again ever since I put them on the magic loop. Though there’s only one in the picture, imagine the second at about the same point along…
That’s it for now… back to blog reading for a bit longer tonight instead of blog writing… and then maybe an hour of knitting before bed…
