Mondays are always rough to wake up to…
Had a good weekend though! Full of friends and family (Hi, this is MCI, that’s our tagline, lady)
Betsy and Donna and Donna’s kids (they were soooo good, as always!) came over Saturday for a bit… We didn’t get any knitting done but the llamas got lots of love! I thought Cheryl was headed over as well ’cause they’d just missed her at Donna’s but I’m a bit too far out in the boonies I think… LOL (Missed you Cheryl!!!)
After that I went on a mulberry leaf run… got a bag from behind the dentist’s office…
Sunday morning, Montey and I went out to breakfast at King’s (diet no-no for both of us!) then went for a ride over to Waynesburg to check out the fiber festival there… it rained for most of the trip! The festival was small but bigger then last year’s I think. Didn’t buy anything… just looked around and found out that the Loyalhannon Spinners came in second at the Sheep to Shawl competetion!
In the evening Montey and I went out for a walk and a mulberry leaf run… got a bag from the tree near the mailbox…
We had a good weekend all in all!
With the llamas able to come down to the house now… it can be quite cute. Yesterday Montey and I stood and watched Dolly nuzzle the window on the outside while Linny snuggled the window on the inside… Linny has done that to Jose as well. Not Hater-Boy Slim though… his ears still get pretty flat when he’s in the window and they come up to it.
Knitting? I started a lace shawl using some super yummy tencel that I got at Maryland from the vendor “Just Our Yarn“. It is beautiful.
Of course, I started it five times. But now I like it and am continuing on.
No sock progress – with the rip-out of the neon stripe toe-ups I am down to working on just two pair but I haven’t done anything with them…
Spinning? I rinsed and hung eight skeins of yarn! The back room stunk! With Loyalhannon Spinners I will be demonstrating at the Westmoreland Arts and Heritage Festival and am hoping to put some of my yarns up for sale.
That’s it for now… I have got to go shower and get ready to start the long week! A special session class starts tonight which is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday – 5:30 to 9:30 – for three weeks… as well as I am doing an online course to fill in some undergrad courses for state requirements. And I wonder why I don’t get much knitting done? LOL!
Super thanks to everybody who reads this blog! And double thanks to those who comment! It makes my day!
