So… originally this post talked about tonight being knitting! But due to the fog and rain we didn’t have internet yesterday morning after I wrote it…
Anyhow, last night was knitting. I went! I hadn’t been able to go because of school so it was nice to be there for a change. Classes start again the 22nd so that will be the only one.
I took socks to work on. Which I did. But then I ripped out the pair I started on magic loop… too big. I’ve also converted over a pair I have had on the needles forever (okay, over six months) which are down into the foot so it’s just straight stockinette… so I worked on them a bit and didn’t rip them out. Knit nights are only good for stockinette!
I’ve been spinning up a storm since getting back from Maryland. I’ve spun a bobbin of 50% llama/ 50% wool – naturally colored, a bobbin of glitzy metallic mixed with ? wool – sheds horribly while spinning, and a bobbin of this white with greens and blues with some reds and yellows – this I got at The Fold. All those I spun at home and got at MD. At Spin Guild Saturday I spun up a bobbin of alpaca that I got at the Pittsburgh Knitter’s Festival. I seem to spin at about a dk weight though I haven’t done wraps per inch on them yet.
Sunday I made a circular needle holder. It isn’t quite done, I need to trim the edges, but it came out well for what I need it for… Next up for sewing is a purse organizer.
Pictures of all this stuff? Not even in the camera… sorry folks! Maybe tonight…
Well, now I have to be off to the shower and work… Hope you all had a great weekend!
