So. I ended up staying home from work and school today and am feeling better then I was this weekend… I don’t know that I might not take another day tomorrow to recover completely…
What did I spend my day (my whole day since I wasn’t moving very fast) doing? Playing in my yarn stash. It is all thanks to Yvonne and #7 on this list of hers…
I had Montey bring down all of my bins of yarn from upstairs… and then I sorted out all of the yarn onto a big sheet… (okay, almost all, I didn’t touch three bins of the “acrylic for afghans” yarn – but this is everything else – except I also didn’t touch Montey’s personal stash)
Here it is, after sorting, two views from either end of the sheet…
I put yarns together with like yarns and also put all of my “works in progress” on the sheet with their associated yarns… Then, after pictures, I put it back neatly into the bins.
There’s a shallow drawer for lace yarns, a deep drawer for sock yarns, and then miscellaneous bins… the big clear bin is almost all “works in progress”. It was fun and a great way to spend a sick day… surrounded by yarn with a bottle of PeptoBismal by my side… I didn’t actually inventory everything… but I did detail my lace and sock yarns.
Next, I need to tackle the knitting library
