Hi! I didn’t forget about my promise to you! I am back with some pictures and such!
Last week was kind of icky… I was sick and stayed home and was a couch potato on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday… I am so glad it was last week and not this week though! I’ve got a busy weekend coming up and being sick just would not do…
This weekend is the spinning guild meeting in Greensburg on Saturday afternoon. Then Saturday night is “Go Knitter Go!” at my house! And on Sunday I am supposed to be spinning at the “Greater Pittsburgh Arts & Crafts Holiday Spectacular“. It’s a crafty bitch extravaganza weekend!
I’ve been working on my Christmas presents… the socks are almost done. I have the yarn for the scarf ready to go and almost have a pattern chosen. The only thing I’m not sure on yet is the Steeler scarf and what yarn it will be.
Here are the socks. I’m using Plymouth Cleckheaton Tapestry yarn and I am really liking the way the colors are turning out!
Then, I decided to make a scarf with my handspun and dyed yarn… I really like the way it turned out!!! I cast on a bunch (just made sure it was a big odd number…) then did Row 1 – K5, *P1, K1*, P1, K5 / Row 2 – K, repeat rows 1 and 2.
That’s it for my new knitting (except for some embellishments for a hat Montey made.) Speaking of Montey, he has been doing a good bit of knitting though! He even used some of my early handspun (part llama). Pictures on his knitting project page.
Off to watch TV and knit for about an hour… evenings go too quickly!
