Now I just need to decide on handles…

Yep. The entrelac purse is done and felted and drying at the moment…
Here it is, pre and post felting:

And, for comparison purposes… pre and post felting with Slim:

I am very happy with how it turned out. For the most part. I think, if doing it again, I’d make it slightly bigger around and slightly shorter. Also, on the top border I did two sets of decreases, if doing it again, I’d only do one. But all in all, it’s pretty neat. I’m thinking black leather handles, still undecided on length. I’m going to wait until it is dry and I can play with it more to decide for sure.

Once the bag was in the washer for its felting… I started spinning. I spun up about 350 yards of single ply which is now drying after setting the twist. It is from some roving that I got while at Halcyon Yarn in Maine. It’s destined to become a Christmas present, likely a scarf, probably a lacy one…
Here is the second bobbin before winding it off onto the swift.

The Knit Shoppe in Canonsburg had their 1st anniversary sale this weekend. I went Friday at lunch to get some DPNs and gloves, which I did. I also got some DK weight yarn to make house socks as a gift and some worsted weight to make me some house socks. The socks for presents are going on the needles right after this post is posted… I was going to do them on 4s but I didn’t think and only picked up one set… so I think they’ll be on 3s, I have two sets of them.

Montey is knitting away at the moment on his fifth project, 3rd hat. He is really showing a lot of improvement! Now that he has done so many projects, rather then blog them, I’ve made a page for them (which you can find linked to over on my sidebar under “pages”).
