Pictures! Yes, pictures of knitting!

First… that damned beige sweater! It is done!

Bonnie, of Bonnie Knits, designed a simple ponchette pattern for her booth at the Pittsburgh Knitting Festival. I bought two skeins of Noro Iro there and made my first ponchette that weekend.

It was soooo quick and easy that I got out some stash yarn from my trip to Artfibers in San Francisco and made another. I am glad that this yarn is a very inconsistent thick and thin yarn… considering that a good portion of this was knitted on while at the hospital, either in the waiting rooms or in the room with Montey, if it wasn’t I’m sure that the knitting would show a great variety in tension!!

On the needles right now I have a couple of things… My grey sweater, the Koigu feather and fan shawl, the Lotus Blossom shawl, and of course, socks.

First, my Lorna’s Lace’s socks. I haven’t worked on them in about two weeks but they are coming along…

I have been wanting to do toe-up socks for the longest time… in fact, I’ve started and ripped out a few attempts… finally, it clicked… So here are my toe-ups, started Friday afternoon…

Tuesday I am flying to Chicago and back… since I’m not staying overnight I don’t have to take any luggage and I’m not carrying my laptop either… Just phones, Blackberry, notebook, pen and KNITTING!!! I am trying to decide what project is going with me… probably my feather and fan shawl or maybe the toe-up socks… I figure, with airport waiting and flight time, I probably will have at least four hours of knitting time. I’m leaning towards the shawl.

Montey finished a pair of slippers for me, then a pair for himself too.
…in the past FOUR days!

And now I’m off to knit for about another hour! (After I do a quick blog crawl!)

Oh, and, a few days late, this is also my S entry!
S being for Socks and Slippers!
