So, it’s the week after MSWF… it was soooooo much fun, as always! But it wasn’t as fun as it could be ’cause our friend Cheryl had to go home Saturday morning ’cause of her back and we missed her something awful…. But we still all fondled lots of yarn and bought lots of yarn and dreamed about what we could do with that much yarn and a good time was had by all!

Do I still even knit? People may be wondering! And the answer is yes, (I have photos as proof!), just not nearly as much as I would like to. But the semester is over tomorrow after one final test and Summer classes don’t start until June 11th.- – – – – – – – – – – – –

First up we have the TEN MONTH socks… and what did we find at the end of ten months? They don’t fit… (just barely though so I’m not giving them up as they should soon). The yarn is Socks That Rock and the colorway is Rainforest Jasper.

Next, we have another pair of Socks That Rock, this colorway is Pink Granite (or as I call it, Neopolitan Ice Cream!) This pair has two things going for it that the first was lacking… One, they fit, and two, they didn’t even take ten weeks!

I have another pair of socks that I started last night, this yarn is an awesome colorway from Spunky Eclectic. I love it, it is soooo bright! I think the yarn stands so well on its own that I may not do a pattern at all… just keep up the ribbing…

And I’ve started a shawl. This yarn is Four Play from Brooks Farm and it is 50% wool and 50% silk and sooooo soft!!! It is one of my purchases from the festival this weekend. I don’t know the name of the colorway but I think it looks like coffee.

Oh! I almost forgot! I finished a shawl that I never showed you all! This is made of two yarns, a bright orange mohair that Cheryl got me for Christmas and a variegated one that I bought the day before MSWF 2006 that happens to have the same shade of bright orange in it! The two combined makes for a stunning bright shawl! Just perfect shades for me!!!

That’s all the knitting updates I have for now…

In other news, as of midnight last night I am no longer Cisco certified. I failed my recertification exam. After eight years, I wave goodbye to my alphabet soup…
