and I don’t mean that in a good way…
So, last night, Thursday the 31st, I had on my calendar, my first scheduled party outside of my “comfort zone”… It was a person I met at the fair… she was sooooo enthusiastic, wanted a party, wanted to sign to be a consultant.
I talked to her last week on Thursday the 24th… she said she had 10 people that would be there, she was still enthusiastic, still wanted to sign… I told her I would see her next Thursday, the 31st at 6:00 PM to set up and talk to her about becoming a consultant.
I called her on Wednesday, the 30th, got her voice mail… left a message about how I would be at her house tomorrow night and was really looking forward to doing her show.
Drove 35+ miles, got to her house. She’s not there. Her mother (yes, who she apparently still lives with) has no idea what I’m talking about. I thank her mother very much, sorry to bother her, must be a miscommunication, blah, blah, blah…
Call, get voice mail, leave message… miscommunication, I must be in the wrong, please call me back, blah, blah, blah…
No call.
So, I call this afternoon from a different number and she answers. I, in my super sweet telephone voice, tell her who it is… She says oh my, I’m so sorry, I thought it was next Thursday, blah, blah, blah.
Now, granted, there is a big difference between August 31st and September 7th… and I had left a message Wednesday saying, “I’ll see you TOMORROW” and had she called me last night or first thing this morning saying “oh no!!! sorry! & blah blah blah”… I may have been more apt to chalk it up to some major confusion…
So I told her I already had a show booked for the 7th and so couldn’t do it that night, sorry, and call me back if you want to try to fit it into your schedule at a later date… have a great day, bye.
Thank you for listening to me vent.
Happy weekend to you.
