No, don’t adjust your screen, this is really here… it is really an update…
No, it’s not a figment of your imagination.
Okay. Where to begin?
School is going well, this summer semester is also cruising along SUPER fast… It seems like it just started and it’s almost over!
Work? Well, I couldn’t take the telecommunications world anymore… and so I left my good job, with good benefits, and a good boss… for the unknown… I’m taking a small break, finishing the semester and the summer and then we shall see where life is pointing…
Related, but not related to the above, I signed up as a consultant with The Pampered Chef®. The timing worked out but neither was the cause or effect of the other… (Cheryl had a party, Jane was the consultant… it all worked out that the day of the party it sounded like a good idea at the time… I have since thought it over some more and decided that it was actually more like a great idea – karma works in wild ways) If you would like to have a cooking show I would love to do it so please e-mail me!
In knitting and fiber news… I spent Sunday the 2nd and Tuesday the 4th of July at the Arts and Heritage festival, spinning. Very fun!!! Sunday I used my wheel but then on the 4th the day started out gloomy and rainy and I didn’ t want to bring my wheel out into the weather so I used my drop spindle… I actually ended up standing and using the drop spindle all day.
As a result of being at the festival and being part of the Loyalhannon Spinners… my yarn is going to be part of the Handmade Along the Highway arts for sale… Very cool… It won’t make me a ton of money but it will just be neat to be a part of it!
I haven’t knitted barely at all this week but I haven’t stopped moving long enough! I’ve got a great pair of toe-up socks going though!
Saturday can’t get here quick enough! The knitting group is headed to Yvonne’s and it is going to be a blast!!!!! I am going to knit and nosh and chit and chat and not think of anything but having fun with my friends for the afternoon and evening!!!
Thank you, really thank you, to anybody who is reading this at the moment… I know that leaving my blog non-updated for weeks at a time is like the kiss of death… and I’m soooooo out of the loop… I haven’t even read a blog in over a week!!! So big waves out to you!
For those of you familiar with the saga of the tractor in a box from China that Montey has been waiting for…
it is really here… five huge crates of tractor parts!
(let me tell you… there is truth to the saying that “the only difference between men and boys is the size of their toys”)
🙂
