Last night was our “Go Knitter Go” holiday extravaganza party and it was just wonderful! When you take and put great friends, great food, and great presents all together in a house and mix it up the end result is a terrific evening of fun and laughter! I really am thankful that knitting has allowed me to meet such an awesome group of people!
Our party was held at Leslie, the blogless one’s, house! Thanks go out to Leslie and a comment that her very first ham turned out great! Now, on to what I am dying to show you…. MY PRESENT, from JILLZ!!! LOOKIE!

I HAD to turn one of them inside out so you could see how nice and neat her stranding is! Jill is a right awesome knitter! And the mittens are very warm as I wore them for my whole drive home! I am just… just… gobsmacked!
We had a cookie exchange too! Which was neat ’cause I’d never done one of those! I got a little crazy on Friday (I took a vacation day and stayed home ’cause of the snow and not wanting to deal with it) and baked all day… so if you hear tell of little sheep ball cookies… just know that I was channeling Ms. Stewart for the day.
We got to meet Jane too! It was great to get an opportunity to meet her! What a nice, quiet person. She fit right in with our tranquil, serene and calm little group! hehehehe!
Speaking of quiet, calm and serene… I often wonder, when husbands and children first hear that their wives and mothers are going to have the knitters over for a get-together, do they think, “oh, knitters, that must be a quiet group” and then get quite the shock when reality hits???
I didn’t take my camera last night… Donna has all the pictures so if we are really nice to her maybe she won’t share the naked knitter photos (I’m joking, I’m joking… don’t beat me… LOL)
Rounding out the evening were Cheryl and Betsy, our lovely chauffeurs for the evening!!! Wintertime makes parking difficult and so they were nice enough to give us rides to/from our houses or cars! (sorry about my towing paranoia which is enough to annoy ya!)
In other news… Montey finished his fuzzy felted feet which I wore all last evening. He is going to make me another pair though as the current ones really fit him well.

I’m still plugging away at my scarves… hoping to get them done today so I can move on to other stuff… I’ve got a list of unfinished projects on the sidebar and more projects that I’m itching to start but Christmas is looming ever closer so I. must. resist. the. call. of. the. needle. ACK!
Smiles.
