Hi. My name is Heather. I am a klutz.

Why that post title?

Well, Sunday night, when I was heading back to my hotel room, I tripped on the drive leading up to the front door and just barely managed not to go face first into the asphalt… Bruised toes and scuffed the bottom of my foot.
Yesterday, I was on my way into Artfibers and I was talking to my boss, I didn’t want to go up and into the store (it is on the second floor) so I was pacing. I paced up about three steps, and then down. Down was the problem. I missed the bottom step, this time I did not manage to stay reasonable upright. Luckily, besides some bruises, knee scrape, and some soreness, I am okay.
Jet lag?

Artfibers was great. Any knitter visiting San Francisco would be doing themselves a disservice if they didn’t check it out. Incredible yarns! I got a couple kinds and colors and also got some for my secret pal, I can’t give that to her until the reveal though because if she reads my blog (and I’m not saying she does or doesn’t) then she’d know since you can’t get it anywhere else!

The pictures I took don’t give the yarns justice at all! But here are the ones I got myself:

My cousin Matt lives in San Francisco so he came and got me Sunday afternoon (from the bookstore I had gone to because they have a sit n knit Sunday afternoons…) and gave me a whirlwind driving tour. Took me to two different points that overlook the city, which is where these pictures come from.

Then, yesterday, I went into the city a bit early and got this picture of a streetcar.

Then I walked over to Artfibers. That’s where Matt met up with me and we did a whirlwind walking tour! Here is a picture of the Bay Bridge which I have christened the “other / mini Golden Gate”.

So this is a picture of Matt, who is acting as a tour guide on my off time this week.

And now it is 815AM here.
The meetings start at 8:30 as today starts the actual work portion of this trip!
So I need to get downstairs.
