It’s what you tune in for!
First, to answer a question posed by Diana. Yes, these are our beautiful llamas, Dolly and Jose.
Along those same lines, to answer a question from Cheryl. No album of llama photos yet… but soon.
Lest anyone fear that the kitties are being ignored. Fear not. They are as spoiled and as loved as always!
Slim (Fat Slim!) is laid back tonight. He just finished sucking the gravy out of his can food. Right after finishing that he started begging for catnip. He must think we’ll give into his every wish. 
Linny is relaxing while watching out the door. I hoped she wasn’t going to be in the hamper again so I wouldn’t have to photograph our dirty laundry.
Warm weather or no, I knit.
Right now I have four projects on needles.
First off… the beige Lilac Top. This is the front. Just like the back only not as far along. There is no longer any doubt. I am going to have to put sleeves on this as I don’t think I’ll have it completed soon enough to get much wear out of it this season. Also, I am not much of a sleeveless person so adding sleeves may be the difference between it being worn and it being another cedar chest resident.
Here are the socks I’m doing in the yummy Lorna’s Laces from Jillz. They are on size 1 needles. Cast on 84 stitches. After three (or was it four?) false starts into patterns after the ribbing I have come up with what is a 6 stitch basketweave that I am making up as I go along.
I also have two shawls on needles and am itching to start two others… I am still working on the Koigu shawl which is coming along nicely. I’m almost done with my third skein.
The latest cast on is a shawl in some laceweight wool I got at MS&W, the color is, I believe, stormy weather, and is from a little farm in Wisconsin. The pattern is from Fiber Trends, one of Lily Chin’s designs.
And yet I still have the urge to cast on two other shawls.. While I want to cast on for them, I won’t… Probably won’t… Maybe won’t… Will try not to.
One is the Lotus Blossom shawl from Fiddlesticks. I picked up the pattern and yarn for it at Bonnie Knits when I stopped in there to see Jillz and check out the Lorna’s Laces this past weekend. The other is a butterfly shawl pattern from Plymouth that I have Fiesta yarn in my stash to complete. Both are complex projects to me but will be well worth the time and effort when completed.
