In memory of a very good farm dog.

Muttley was not the freshest smelling of dogs but she was loved.

She was a known thief in the neighborhood, all sorts of things ended up in the yard and the driveway… Cushions, shoes, flowerpots, balls… Once she brought me home two pieces of blue glass (those at least weren’t stolen… you could tell they had been out in the mud for years)

Muttley was a very good hunter, too good at times. Our property was safe from moles and groundhogs and rabbits and anything else that dare try to invade her property (thank goodness she never met up with a bear) but along with that you didn’t want to go near her apartment under the forsythia bush in the heat of the summer!

She was friends with most of the neighbors and most of their dogs. If she wasn’t home she was down the road laying in the sun with her buddy Deacon or running across the neighbor’s farm keeping his land free of rabbits too.

We will miss her.
