Honestly… I don’t keep this blog up as much as I should or as much as I would like to…
So, besides going crazy during this semester of student teaching, what else have I done? you may ask. Well… I’ve made a lot of skirts since mid-summer… I think this is all the skirts (10?)… some have matching tops… some don’t… I’ve also done some dresses and the historical costumes I showed pictures of before…
This last weekend I had a minimal amount of lesson plans to do as I had done most of them Thanksgiving weekend… so Friday night and Saturday night (and then one on Sunday) I made fabric bowls… yes, 10 of these as well… all in Christmas-y fabrics… They were easier then I thought and the only reason I stopped (besides homework) was that I ran out of the double sided fusible heavyweight interfacing…
So then I decided to use a Lazy Girl purse pattern I had to make a purse… worked on it yesterday and today… it’s in Christmas-y fabric… there are a bunch of pockets inside and two on the outside… It’ll work great for its purpose during the season but overall I didn’t like the way the pieces went together…
Curious about the new kittens? They are doing great! Did I ever mention what we ended up naming them? (Tippy and China Doll if I didn’t say…) All four cats get along and play together… sounds like a small herd as they get running through the house, chasing each other!
